Nominations for the 2022 Kamil Patel Memorial Scholarship have been announced.
Dedicated to honoring the memory of Kamil Patel, the scholarship was created in the spring of 2018 to assist high school rugby players who plan to continue their education in college while playing rugby. Scholarships of up to $2000 are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice.
Nominees will be judged first on the basis of their coach's nomination, then secondarily on academic record, school and community activities, honors, work experience, and any exceptional circumstances. Awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, gender, disability or national origin
The winner will be selected by a panel of judges from RugbyNY and the Buffalo Rugby Club.
